meet Barbara
Pilates Instructor
Barbara is a comprehensively trained Pilates Instructor. She received her training through the Rebel Pilates Collective in South Texas, under the tutelage of RPC Faculty/Educator, Tanya Swayze Miller, 2nd generation Pilates Master.
Besides the physical challenge, Barbara especially loves the mind-body-spirit integration that embodies Pilates work and is excited for the opportunity to help others experience this. She is currently pursuing her certification as a Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor to improve individuals body awareness, movement, and health.
Barbara’s favorite Pilates exercise is Swan with Push Thru Bar on the Cadillac. The Swan improves posture and reduces the risk of back pain through strengthening the back and mobilising the mid/upper (thoracic) spine.
Her self care routine consists of maintaining a regular skin care and sleeping routine, staying hydrated, making medicinal tea, and spending time in nature. Her hobbies include taking barre and TRX classes, going to concerts, cooking clean & simple meals, and spending time with family.
